All About Me

‘The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.’
- Pablo Picasso

Welcome to my website. I have been counselling since 2016 and prior to this had many years experience working with children, young people, parents and caregivers. I am an accredited member of the BACP and hold an up-to-date DBS.

I truly believe in the power of counselling to help us get through life’s challenges within the safety of the therapeutic relationship. I have benefitted greatly from my own personal therapy and believe this to be a gift to pass on to others.

There are many things that stop us from being our true authentic selves including poor mental health, negative self-beliefs, relationship problems, traumatic life events and stressful circumstances. I am passionate about helping you to explore these things within a confidential setting and empowering you to be the best possible version of yourself.

My Services

‘Life, at its best, is a flowing, changing process in which nothing is fixed.’
- Carl Rogers

I am an integrative counsellor working with both adults and young people. My training means that I am able to adapt my therapeutic style to best meet your needs.

I passionately believe that we are all capable of change when given the right environment. Even when our situation seems impossible or devastating, growth is always possible.

I offer face-to-face sessions in my East Devon therapy room, as well as online sessions which can be accessed from the comfort of your own home. I only ask that you have a confidential space that you can speak from and a reliable internet connection.

Counselling

Whatever your reason for seeking out counselling, I’m dedicated to helping you find your way to better mental health. I believe in helping you to work through the difficulties that stop you from living your most authentic life.

I work with both adults and young people. I am particularly experienced in working with trauma, abuse and loss.

Trauma Therapy

I am trained by the NHS as a young people’s trauma therapist using Trauma Focussed CBT. This therapy is recommended by NICE guidelines for being the most effective in treating young people with PTSD. Please get in touch for more information.

Consultations

I am able to provide a consultation service to families or organisations who would benefit from a counsellor’s insight, particularly with a trauma-informed perspective. This could involve psychological education, signposting suggestions or referrals to other specialist services.

I charge a fee of £50 per hour. There is no time limit on our work together, but rather a collaborative conversation on how and when you feel ready to part ways.

It is important to me that counselling should be affordable to all. To that end, I keep a certain number of low-cost spaces available. These spaces are limited to a six-session model in order to keep waiting lists to a minimum.

I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation, so feel free to reach out with any questions and to see if you think I am the right fit for you.
